School Health and Alcohol Harm Reduction Project

Acknowledgements

The School Health and Alcohol Harm Reduction Project (SHAHRP study) and SHAHRP 2000 were research studies conducted at the National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) and funded by the Western Australian Health Promotion Foundation (Healthway).

The key researchers responsible for these studies were Nyanda McBride and Fiona Farringdon. Key writer of the SHAHRP intervention materials was Helen Cahill from the Youth Research Centre. Contributing writers were Marg Sheehan from the Youth Research Centre and Fiona Farringdon from NDRI. The key writer for the SHAHRP 2000 intervention materials was Fiona Farringdon from NDRI.

Other contributors to the SHAHRP and SHAHRP 2000 intervention materials were: The Year 10 and Year 12 students involved in the focus group interviews.

The pilot and intervention teachers and students for their invaluable input in testing and refining the intervention materials.
